Facebook – Sucks

While the US holds itself out as a beacon of democracy and freedom in the world, the US’s actions stray quite far from this pretence. From Vietnam in the 1950s, when the US blocked elections which would have allowed the Vietnamese people to vote for a unified country and for their own president, to the overthrow of democratic governments in Iran and Guatemala and the consequent installation of brutal regimes which killed tens of thousands, the US has undermined democracies in ways which make the alleged Russian “meddling” (the sum total of which involve claims of social media posts and computer hacking) look like mere child’s play.

US has a long history of aggressions (wars, – invasions, 22 Countries in the last 20 years) and there are many instances of interference and other instances of meddling in other countries’ democratic processes, such as in Nicaragua, Haiti, Venezuela, Greece, the Congo, Honduras, Guatemala, Bolivia, Philippines, Somalia, Thailand, Japan, Italy, France, Germany, and even in Russia in the very recent past.

To keep such “control”, USA uses many tactics and under the National Security Agency (NSA) umbrella, they rely on information gathered, filtered and checked by social networking or other methods.

iPhone (California, USA) – all data shared with NSA (that will include banking transactions, voice calls, messages, finger printing, voice recognition, face recognition and more).

Facebook (California, USA) – all data shared with NSA (that will include #Messenger messages, images, voice calls, home address and phone number, credit card details and more.

eBay (California, USA) – present in 100 Countries. All data shared with NSA (that will include home address and phone number, credit card details, banking details and more).

PayPal (USA) – present in 200 Countries. All data shared with NSA (that will include home address and phone number, credit card details, banking details and more).

Other USA corporations that share your information with the NSA are: SKYPE, GOOGLE, AMAZON, TWITTER, AOL and a dozen more.

The question to ask is why are All and Only USA COMPANIES leading in snooping on the world population/affairs?

USA is the first to complain on what Russia, China, Europe do to dominate the world on new technologies and a possible control on the population, but there is hardly any other choice available to us apart from all of the above US companies. [USA dominant “Media Imperialism” exerts media power over other countries, especially those lacking in a strong media presence].

Why does Europe need to deal in banking transactions (payments) via a USA based company – PayPal? There are hardly any other options. The same applies to eBay. Amazingly so, nobody seems to ask the question on why we, in Europe, don’t have “local” choices? [Of course there are a number of other choices but they are hardly efficient].

Big companies and corporations (Microsoft, Starbucks, Oracle) are trading in Europe but “prefer” not to pay any taxes. Also, and this is somewhat very odd (utterly unethical in my view), it is almost impossible to raise an official complaint with anyone of the above Companies. There is no way that one can talk or exchange an email with “customer service” (they haven’t got one) at Facebook, eBay, Skype and so on. This is an issue that goes back, with some of these companies, to the late 1990s and that raised frustrations with many users.

Facebook claim to have standards and these can be found on “Facebook Terms and Policies” which include “Community Standards”.

As Facebook cannot be reached, they can do and state what they like on what is posted by individuals. In recent years, Facebook has taken the option to have strong opinions on international matters, affairs and political views.

To ensure that their views become standardised all over their platform and all over the world, Facebook uses new algorithms where each individual can only view posts or comments that Facebook decide to be of importance to a particular individual.

Not all of us can see the same posts. Not all of us can share them. Out of (say) 400 friends, we only see posts or comments of around 30 of them; the others almost don’t exist unless we specifically look for them.

To ensure that their policing works well, Facebook has a “Gestapo office” where what Facebook doesn’t like, Facebook can delete and can block the person (a jail sentence) for hours, days or months! Impossible to object and explain to them that they are wrong.

This means that the person cannot communicate with anyone even on Messenger for the whole period he/she is in jail.

However Facebook is the first one to promote porn and paedophilia (loads of posts on “Facebook profiles” promoting this). This is obvious with the link below where Facebook doesn’t block access to a porno site.

WARNING: IF YOU TYPE THE LINK AND IT IS STILL ACTIVE YOU WILL GET INTO A PORNOGRAPHIC WEBSITE! Allowed and promoted by Facebook

Various posts offering “porn” are active on Facebook and they are able to contact and ask for friendship to all users. This is just a small selection of them:

I am not prepared to post any links to paedophilia found on Facebook.

Facebook idiocy seems to reach new limits all the time. Facebook has blocked me from using my profile because I posted a video of a parent smacking a child. They did this on the basis of their “community safety standards”! (??)

The video I posted was about raising awareness to the police or to INTERPOL so that the man could be arrested. [The “famous” child molester Christopher Paul Neil was arrested by Interpol in 2007 after a massive world search on the “Swirl Face”]. Instead Facebook is blocking me from sharing the video (so the idiot can carry on to abuse the child)!!

On many occasions Facebook’s staff are a real bunch of dimwits! Based on ignorance they often assess wrongly posts published by individuals. Many are sent to jail!
